The Meaning...
Panther Meadow is a delicate landscape with an unmistakeable spirit. Situated at 7,500 feet of elevation the wildflowers that call this meadow home take their time to bloom. We made our way to the meadow for the first time in 2024 before the gate for the road up to the meadow was opened so we could take in its beauty before the crowds arrived and I must say, this feels to me to be one of Mt. Shasta's most sacred places. We returned many times over the course of the summer and those visits are what inspired this painting.
