Printing & Materials

All of our fine art giclee paper prints are created using archival-grade inks on museum quality paper.

Lightly textured with a matte finish, the natural Eco Hemp Paper from Hahnemühle used for our prints is free of optical brighteners and is selected for its brilliant reproduction of the colors, details, and contrasts of Maria's work. This acid and lignin-free paper meets the precise requirements for age resistance and is ISO 9706 compliant for museum-quality high age resistance.

Fun fact: hemp was an essential part of paper production for centuries, and due to its extremely robust fibers, it has often been used for long-lasting historical documents, such as the Gutenberg Bible and the US Declaration of Independence. We love it for its durability and the renewable nature of hemp compared to many other paper components. The materials used ensure long-term, archival stability with sustainability in mind.

Sizing

Unframed print dimensions are exact to what is shown on the store and printed full bleed (borderless).

For example, a 16"x20" paper print measures 16" by 20" and the print goes all the way to the edge of the paper.

Framed paper prints will add 1/2" to each dimension. For example, a 16"x20" framed print will measure 17" by 21" with the frame.

To offer a variety of standard sizes, some ratios are cropped and may vary slightly from the listing photo. In these cases, we have carefully cropped each print to look its best in the offered ratio.

Framing Options

Prints are available framed or, if you'd prefer to manage framing yourself, you can purchase an unframed print.

Unframed paper prints are printed full bleed (borderless).

Framed paper prints are protected with an anti-glare acrylic and are available in all sizes. All frames are made to order.

The Meaning...

This piece has been symbolic of the calm and color that comes after weathering the storm.

I bumped up against some growing edges on this trip and this painting holds what I took away from the experience - the serenity and beauty that comes after facing the challenges my ego puts in my way and seeing them for what they really are - just smoke and mirrors that temporarily obscure - but never actually alter - the truth of who we are.

Montana's landscape is both beautiful and punishing...

The rainbows, pastel sunsets, blue green waters and technicolor wild flowers were contrasted against jagged peaks, rushing rivers, gale force winds and the occasional driving rainstorm. This trip reminded me of both the enchanting and harrowing qualities of nature.

It came at a time when everything was changing.

This scene came into my life just as things really started to change with my career and where we would call home. When it found me I began exhibiting my work at local events in SoCal consistently for the first time and in the next month I left my corporate job of 2 years while also deciding to make a big move from Oceanside, CA to Mount Shasta, CA to follow the path my heart's desires had led me down.
